We offer buffet style catering in Campbell River and surrounding areas.

Catering FAQ

How far in advance do I need to book?
Ideally we would like to have at least two months notice.
Sometimes we can make it work with as little as one week notice. We will not accept any requests within 72 hours of the planned catering.

Do you have a minimum?
The minimum for the Campbell River/Comox/Courtenay area is $1000 plus GST for buffet style catering. Want to pick it up at the store? Any amount goes, please still fill out a catering request form though. Please inquire for areas further away.

Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we require a 30% nonrefundable deposit 2-8 weeks before the planned catering. Any other money owed is due at or within 2 weeks after the catering.

Do you still cater in the Barriere/North Thompson area?
Unfortunately Not. Since we will be opening our restaurant soon, we will no longer able to come to the North Thompson area.

Do you charge for travel?
We do for anything over 60km away from the restaurant (3795 N Island Hwy). We charge $1.25/km over 60 km, and $25/h for any staff that travel to the catering for anything longer than 1 hour of travel. Staff required is between 1 and 6, depending on size of the catering.

How do I know my catering is booked?
Please fill out a catering form and email it to us at saltlickbbqbc@gmail.com. We will then send you a quote and a catering agreement.

What do you need from us?
We will need your choice of menu items 2-4 weeks before the catering.
At the catering, we need two 8 or 10 foot tables to set up on, as well as access to water and power. If your event venue doesn't have water and/or power, please notify us so we can make arrangements.

Will you bring Plates and Cuttlery?
Not yet. At the moment we are able to provide paper plates, napkins, and compostable cutlery at a low extra cost. Please request these items if you require them.

Will the Food Truck be there?
No, the food truck does not come out for catering. As of 2026 the food truck will be a stationary feature of our new restaurant.
