Catering FAQ

How far in advance do I need to book?
Ideally we would like to have at least two months notice.
Sometimes we can make it work with as little as one week notice. We will not accept any requests within 72 hours of the planned catering.

Will you come further than 80km from Darfield?
We do! However, we will have to charge travel time and hours of staff that have to travel. We charge $1.25/km over 80 km, and $25/h for any staff that travel to the catering for anything longer than 1 hour of travel.

Do you have a minimum?
Yes. Up to 20km from Darfield, $800 minimum. Up to 80km of Darfield, $1000 minimum.

Do you require a deposit?
No, we do not require deposits at this point. However, we ask that you pay within a couple of days of the Catering.
If you really want to send us a deposit, please discuss it with us.

How do I know my catering is booked?
We will send you an email saying that we penciled you in or put you in the calendar. If in doubt, please reach out and I will get back to you asap.

What do you need from us?
We will need your choice of menu items 2-4 weeks before the catering.
At the catering, we need two 8 or 10 foot tables to set up on, as well as access to water and power. If your event venue doesn't have water and/or power, please notify us so we can make arrangements.

Will you bring Plates and Cuttlery?
No we do not. We are able to provide paper plates, napkins, and compostable cutlery at a low extra cost. Please request these items if you require them.

Will the Food Truck be there?
No, the food truck does not come out for catering. If you want the food truck to be there please reach out to us. We will try to make it happen whenever we can.
