We offer buffet style catering, if you want the food truck to be at your event, please message us for options, prices, and availability.
Our 2026 menu will be live soon! The 2025 menu is still up for your reference, please note that the prices will increase due to the current global economical situation.

Catering FAQ

How far in advance do I need to book?
Ideally we would like to have at least two months notice.
Sometimes we can make it work with as little as one week notice. We will not accept any requests within 72 hours of the planned catering.

Do you have a minimum?
The minimum for the Campbell River/Comox/Courtenay area is $1000 (before tax). Please inquire for areas further away.

Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we require a 30% nonrefundable deposit 2-8 weeks before the planned catering. Any other money owed is due within 2 weeks after the catering.

Do you still cater in the Barriere/North Thompson area?
Short answer, YES! We have the capacity for some larger caterings in the North Thompson area for this year. We will need at least 2 months notice, and the minimum is $3000 (before tax)

Do you charge for travel?
We do for anything over 60km away from Stories Beach (just south of Campbell River). We charge $1.25/km over 60 km, and $25/h for any staff that travel to the catering for anything longer than 1 hour of travel. Staff required is between 1 and 6, depending on size of the catering.

How do I know my catering is booked?
We will send you an email saying that we penciled you in or put you in the calendar. If in doubt, please reach out and I will get back to you asap. You can email or text/whatsapp at saltlickbbqbc@gmail.com or 778-220-8294

What do you need from us?
We will need your choice of menu items 2-4 weeks before the catering.
At the catering, we need two 8 or 10 foot tables to set up on, as well as access to water and power. If your event venue doesn't have water and/or power, please notify us so we can make arrangements.

Will you bring Plates and Cuttlery?
No we do not. We are able to provide paper plates, napkins, and compostable cutlery at a low extra cost. Please request these items if you require them.

Will the Food Truck be there?
No, the food truck does not come out for catering. If you want the food truck to be there please reach out to us. We will try to make it happen whenever we can. Please know it will cost a bit extra.
